Oak Harbor School District's North Whidbey Middle School is seeking an Athletics/Activities/Assistant Coach for girls volleyball to start Nov 30, 2026, with the season running through Jan 29, 2027. The coach will develop fundamental skills, promote sportsmanship, and ensure safety for participants.

The ideal candidate will have coaching experience, WIAA certification, First Aid/CPR, and strong communication with students, parents, and the community.

Qualifications

• Successful coaching experience with girls volleyball middle school age or higher.
• Ability to meet the WIAA coaching certification standards.
• Valid First Aid/CPR card.
• Proven ability to organize and promote athletics programs.

Responsibilities

• Season begins Nov 30, 2026 and ends Jan 29, 2027; coach volleyball and implement skills and strategies.
• Take a concept/skill from learning through mastery, and promote teamwork and sportsmanship.
• Maintain a safe environment, ensuring eligibility and monitoring behavior.
• Collaborate with the coaching staff to determine system of play and best strategies.
• Be a positive motivator and effective communicator with students, parents, and community.
