Job summary

Breck School in Golden Valley, Minnesota, seeks an Assistant Girls' Lacrosse JV Coach to support the program and assist the Head Coach in day-to-day operations. You will help prepare student-athletes for varsity success, aligning with NFHS and MSHSL rules and Breck standards.

Qualifications

• Prior playing or coaching experience in Girls' Lacrosse.
• Understanding of Girls' Lacrosse fundamentals and effective coaching techniques and skills.
• Experience building and maintaining effective working relationships with school administrators, governing organizations (MSHSL, etc.), opponents, staff, parents, and athletes.
• Exhibits professionalism, organizational, communication, delegation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce the tone and culture of the team – model teamwork, trust, inclusivity, respect and leadership; encourage sportsmanlike conduct at all times.
• Manage and supervise practices and athletic events.
• Work with student athletes to improve their abilities in Girls' Lacrosse.
• Partner with coaching staff to provide unity across all levels and teams.
• Work with the Strength and Conditioning Coach to provide a year round support.
• Encourage and support multi-sport athletes within Breck.
• Participate in special activities, such as parent meetings, senior night, banquets, etc.
• Attend meetings and events to improve coaching performance, such as professional development meetings, clinics, etc.
