Job summary

The Rinks & Great Park Ice are seeking a Girls Hockey Development Coordinator to cultivate growth in youth girls’ hockey through grassroots initiatives and community programming in Irvine, CA. This part-time role focuses on on-ice instruction and fan engagement, aligning with Anaheim Ducks programs.

Responsibilities include developing coaching plans, managing registrations, and coordinating marketing for female programming, with on-site duties and flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years coaching or program experience in girls’ or women’s hockey.
• 1–2 years in sports and entertainment marketing or related field preferred.
• Experience playing hockey is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of hockey and NHL.
• MS Office & design tools like Adobe Photoshop.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-ice instruction for girls’ hockey programming under the Anaheim Ducks We Play Her Way umbrella.
• Lead and facilitate girls-focused programming including Girls Try Hockey For Free and Women’s Try Hockey For Free.
• Develop coaching plans and share with program coaches.
• Assist with customer communications and introduce participants to the Ducks development model.
• Support women’s programs and initiatives including Women in Sports Night.
• Act as liaison between Lady Ducks travel club, The Rinks & Great Park Ice, and the Ducks.
• Assist with program operations: inventory, registrations, ice slots.
• Support marketing efforts with materials and strategies.

3+ years coaching experience

1–2 years marketing experience

Excellent communication

Skating ability (ice and inline)
