Job summary

Wayne Township Public Schools is seeking an Assistant Coach C-332 at Wayne Valley High School to provide leadership, supervision, and organization of the assigned athletic activity while supporting the Head Coach and promoting safety, sportsmanship, and district compliance.

You will maintain up-to-date knowledge of sport rules, supervise equipment, assist with administration, and communicate clearly with athletes, parents, and staff.

Qualifications

• State Teaching Certificate or County Substitute Certificate (60 college units) required.
• Prior coaching experience in the sport.
• Skill qualifications to fulfill established performance responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and organize the assigned athletic activity.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of sport rules and guidelines.
• Attend clinics/workshops to stay current with coaching methods.
• Manage equipment inventory and facility upkeep.
• Ensure safety for participants and enforce district policies.
• Communicate rules, eligibility criteria, and expectations to athletes and staff.
