Job summary

Mounds View Public Schools seeks an Assistant Diving Coach for Fall 2026 to support the head coach in all aspects of running the program, including try-outs, team selection, practices and games.

This role emphasizes building a comprehensive program, developing staff, and fostering strong relationships with parents and the local community, with stipends paid under the Teacher Labor Agreement Appendix C.

Qualifications

• A valid Minnesota coaching certificate (or alternative qualifications) is required.
• Strong background in and understanding of the specific sport.
• Successful coaching experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in building a comprehensive program, developing staff, and managing diverse program-wide elements in accordance with the school mission and vision.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the commitment to develop and maintain positive relationships between the program and the local community.
• Proven experience in teaching and modeling character and responsible behavior.
• Positive, high energy, and committed.
• Partners well with parents, staff, community leaders, etc.
• View success not just as winning; but as helping team members to reach goals.
• Orientation toward continuous improvement and transformational coaching
