Job summary

Brooke County Schools invites applications for the position of Assistant Girls Basketball Coach at Brooke High School. The role requires coaching the girls basketball program, coordinating practices, games, and player development while maintaining program integrity and compliance with state athletic associations.

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Principal, Assistant Principal, and Athletic Director, collaborating with middle school staff to build a feeder system

Qualifications

• Certification or licensure as required by the West Virginia Board of Education and WVSSAC.
• Experience in classroom teaching and area of specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct all coaching activities for Brooke High School's girls basketball program.
• Attend and conduct pre-season and post-season meetings with staff.
• Schedule practices, sign-ups, and games with the Athletic Department.
• Coordinate with middle school coaches to create a feeder system and consistent program philosophy.
• Ensure compliance with WVSSAC, Board of Education, and school policies.
• Maintain equipment, rosters, and eligibility lists; report to Athletic Director.
