Job summary

Qualifications

• Professional culinary training or equivalent experience in a fast-paced restaurant/catering setting.
• Familiarity with common culinary terms and methods such as broiling, braising, roasting, poaching, sauce preparation, and carving.
• Ability to operate a broad range of kitchen equipment (stoves, broilers, deep fryers) and related tools.
• Must obtain and maintain health/safety/compliance trainings (Health Card, Alcohol Awareness, BBP, etc.).
• Demonstrates the GILA WAY: Greet, Interact, Listen, Appreciate guests.

Responsibilities

• Promotes excellent guest service for internal and external guests.
• Prepares high quality hot and cold items using standardized recipes.
• Maintains a neat, clean prep area and timely cleanup after preparation.
• Controls food costs and reduces waste to support financial performance.
• Samples prepared foods to ensure highest quality.
• Maintains correct PAR levels for inventory.
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
