Job summary

Clear Creek ISD is seeking a part-time Advanced Academics Specialist for the 2026-27 year to support GT identification, services, and staff development. The role includes coordinating campus screening, parent communication, and staying aligned with district goals.

The ideal candidate holds 30 hours GT Awareness, Texas GT Certification, a bachelor’s degree, and a valid Texas teaching certificate with at least three years of teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and Texas certification required.
• 30 hours GT Awareness and Texas GT Certification.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Knowledge of curriculum and instruction; ability to differentiate for GT.

Responsibilities

• Lead GT identification processes across campuses, including screening and parent communication.
• Provide GT-focused professional learning and updates (30-hour awareness and 6-hour updates).
• Deliver face-to-face or virtual instruction for identified GT students.
• Collaborate with teachers to align curriculum and instructional practices.
• Integrate technology into instruction for gifted learners.
• Plan and supervise tasks for aides and volunteers.
• Maintain accurate records and meet district requirements.
• Engage in professional development to improve instruction and student achievement.
