As a Sales Associate, you will deliver exceptional customer service, help customers, meet store sales goals, process transactions, and maintain a clean, inviting shop that reflects Cloverkey standards and infection prevention requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in gifts sales or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by greeting customers and offering personalized service.
• Meet individual and store sales goals while supporting overall performance.
• Maintain a clean, inviting gift shop reflecting merchandising standards and infection prevention rules.
• Accurately process transactions and handle cash and other approved payment methods.
• Balance and verify cash drawers at shift start and end.
• Report cash discrepancies per policy.
• Maintain reliable attendance and adhere to policies and appearance standards.
• Build positive relationships with hospital staff, volunteers, patients and visitors.
• Understand daily store operations and contribute to a collaborative team.
• Demonstrate accountability and continuous improvement.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

We are looking for a part-time Sales Associate who embodies these qualities and is ready to take our gift shop to the next level.

Our Sales Associates play key roles in creating an outstanding shopping experience by delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the daily operations of the gift shop. This position is responsible for helping customers, achieving store sales goals, maintaining a clean and inviting shopping environment, accurately processing transactions, and building positive relationships with hospital staff, volunteers, patients, and visitors. The ideal candidate is dependable, service-oriented, and committed to representing Cloverkey with professionalism and care.

As a valued partner of the hospitals we serve, all candidates selected for employment must successfully complete any required hospital occupational health screenings and onboarding requirements before beginning work. Employment is contingent upon successfully meeting all applicable hospital onboarding and occupational health requirements.

GIFT SHOP HOURS:

Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Saturday-Sunday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

SCHEDULES:

Monday-Friday: 20 hours; 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

OR

Saturday-Tuesday: 19 hours

Saturday-Sunday: 8:45 AM - 2:00 PM

Monday-Tuesday: 3:00 PM - 7:15 PM

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by warmly greeting every customer, providing personalized service, and inviting them to return.
• Meet individual and store sales goals while contributing to overall store performance.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and visually appealing gift shop that reflects Cloverkey merchandising standards and hospital infection prevention requirements.
• Accurately process customer transactions and handle cash, credit cards, payroll deductions, hospital charge accounts, and other approved payment methods.
• Balance and verify cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift, following established cash handling procedures.
• Promptly report and document any cash discrepancies in accordance with company policy.
• Maintain reliable attendance, work scheduled shifts, and follow Cloverkey and hospital policies and professional appearance standards.
• Build positive relationships with hospital staff, volunteers, patients, and visitors while representing Cloverkey in a professional manner.
• Understand daily store operations and contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on excellent service and sales results.
• Demonstrate accountability, professionalism, and a commitment to continuous improvement as measured through individual and team performance.
• Other duties as assigned by Store Manager, Assistant Manager, District Manager or Corporate as needed (the above is not an all-inclusive list)

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in gifts sales or a related field is preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Knowledge of basic math skills for processing transactions
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell and cross-sell products
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to stand during scheduled shift
• Ability to build rapport with customers with strong customer service skills
