Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a friendly Gift Shop Clerk to help maintain a welcoming store atmosphere and ensure accurate, efficient transactions. You will assist customers, stock shelves, process cash and card sales at the register, handle returns, and keep aisles orderly.

Qualified applicants will have a High School diploma or GED, strong people skills, good reading and writing abilities, and the capacity to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent people skills, required.
• The ability to read, write and communicate clearly and to use fundamental mathematical skills is required.
• Individual must be able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Responds to customer and phone inquiries.
• Cleans and maintains the sales areas which includes stocking of products.
• Records cash and charge sales using point-of-sale cash register.
• Processes the return of merchandise in accordance with store policy.
• Keeps store aisles clear and open to prevent accidents.
• Other duties as assigned
