Job description

Gift Analyst - #004282

The primary location of this position is on-site in Cullowhee, NC. This position is designated as being subject to the State of North Carolina Human Resources Act (SHRA). The Gift Analyst independently administers charitable gift processing and reconciliation for all gifts received by the Division of Advancement for the WCU Foundation. Work involves developing and maintaining expertise across multiple software platforms including three online donation systems, Banner Finance, and Raiser's Edge databases. The position ensures data hygiene, accuracy, and compliance across gift entry workflows; conducts regular reconciliation of deposits and financial records; collaborates with advancement staff, the division accountant, and foundation accounting staff; and provides consultation on gift processing procedures in accordance with CASE standards, donor stewardship practices, compliance with IRS regulations and data integrity matters. The position maintains productive working relationships with members of the Executive Council, Provost Council, Deans, Business Officers, and university leadership, responding to inquiries and providing technical guidance on gift-related matters. The position mentors the Advancement Business Services Coordinator and may supervise additional temporary staff. The position may coordinate program administration and consultation related to athletic fundraising as those program areas develop and integrate with advancement operations. Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Anticipated Hiring Range: $64,018

Salary Band Range: $36,381 - $91,526
