Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean, safe and organized environment for cleaning and disinfection of scopes.
• Cleans and disinfects endoscopes using established guidelines.
• Greets patients and families professionally.
• Maintains and organizes supplies/stocking as needed.
• Stocks and sets up rooms for the next day.
• Assists nursing staff to ensure efficient and confidential flow of information.
• Communicates patient information to licensed nurse in a timely manner.
• Enters accurate demographic information in the computer in procedure rooms.
• Answers telephone and relays messages to appropriate personnel.
• Files and retrieves patient records and delivers mail.
• Assists nurses and physicians to facilitate efficient room turnover.
• Escorts patients to changing rooms and assists with gowning.
