Overview

South County Outpatient Endoscopy Services (SCOPES) is looking to add a Part‑time GI Scope Tech who is a team player to our Outpatient GI Center. As a GI Tech at SCOPES, you will work alongside highly‑trained physicians to diagnose and treat gastrointestinal conditions and provide top‑notch care.

Responsibilities

Responsible for rendering professional care to patients undergoing procedures within the GI center in accordance with established procedures. Functions cooperatively with physicians and staff, exhibiting teamwork characteristics. Prepares equipment and anticipates physician and patient needs for GI procedures. Provides general maintenance of the clinical area and equipment, assists physicians on all GI procedures, and cleans and maintains equipment per center policy.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• One to three years of previous experience in a GI lab or pain management (preferred)
• Current BLS required
• Knowledge of policies and procedures specific to the OR and GI
• Strong customer service skills
• Manual dexterity to handle instruments quickly
• Must be conscientious, organized and able to handle the stress of a busy GI lab environment
• Must be able to function as a team player
• Ability to lift 25 pounds
• Must be able to communicate and understand English, both written and verbal
