Job summary

Pinehurst Medical Clinic is seeking a GI Technologist to assist in the endoscopy suite, prepare instruments, and ensure a safe patient environment. This full-time role involves four 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday.

The ideal candidate will hold Basic Life Support certification and preferably NBSTSA/NCCT/NHA certification, with prior GI tech experience and good knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols. Equal opportunity employer.

• Previous experience as a GI Technologist preferred. Knowledge of surgical procedures, policies, and protocols desired.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the multidisciplinary activities required to provide the highest standard of care for the patient including ensuring a safe environment.
• Assists in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments prior to the procedure.
• Assists in preparation of patient, assembly of supplies, instruments and equipment as well as proper disposition of all specimens.
• Provides the GI Doctor with appropriate instruments, supplies and equipment in a timely manner.
• Assists with all aspects of room turnover and instrument/equipment processing.
• Assists with positioning of the patient according to departmental policy.

What will you do as a PMC GI Tech:

The GI Technologist applies surgical technology skills to assist in providing patient care in the Endoscopy suite. The GI Technologist assists in maintaining a safe work environment and performs all related job responsibilities. This position works four (4), ten (10) hour shifts per week.

A day in the life of a PMC GI Tech may include:
