Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care activities under supervision of RN/physician.
• Retrieves and handles specimens, labeling and transport to lab as required.
• Supports safety initiatives and prepares procedure rooms and equipment.
• Performs high level disinfection and reprocessing of equipment and scopes.
• Cleans, calibrates, operates, and maintains equipment per policy; reports repairs.
• Documents procedures, images, and patient charges using endoscope and ultrasound systems.
• Maintains unit inventory and stocks supplies; performs clerical duties incl. phones, filing, data entry.
• Assists with patient positioning, lifting, and transport; adheres to age-specific care needs.
