Job summary

USPI Peak Gastroenterology Center in Greenville, NC, is seeking a motivated GI Tech FT to join our fast-paced ambulatory surgery center team. You will assist with equipment prep, safety checks, and patient monitoring under nurse direction, contributing to efficient procedural flow and patient comfort.

Key requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, one year of GI tech experience preferred, and CNA preferred.

Qualifications

• One year experience as GI tech preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the care, maintenance, preparation, and cleaning of equipment per manufacturer’s guidelines.
• Perform equipment safety checks to ensure equipment is functioning properly, per manufacturer’s guidelines.
• Provides assistance to nurses and physician during procedure per the nurses’ direction, including but not limited to collecting specimens.
• Maintains stocked rooms and recognizes the need for reordering supplies. Assists purchaser with reordering needed supplies.
• Transports and transfers patients and equipment using recommended body mechanics.
• Communicates with Charge Nurse regarding workflow.
• Maintains professionalism within the Center.
