Job summary

USPI Peak Gastroenterology Center in Lone Tree, CO is seeking a motivated GI Tech full-time to join our fast-paced ambulatory center. The role involves assisting in care, equipment handling, and procedural support under nurse direction, while maintaining stocked rooms and effective patient communication.

The position requires one year of GI tech experience (CNA preferred) and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• One year experience as GI tech preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; CNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in care, maintenance, preparation, and cleaning of equipment per manufacturer guidelines.
• Performs equipment safety checks to ensure proper functioning.
• Assists nurses and physicians during procedures as directed, including specimen collection.
• Maintains stocked rooms and assists with reordering supplies.
• Transports patients and equipment using proper body mechanics.
• Communicates with the Charge Nurse regarding workflow and day-to-day operations.
• Maintains professionalism within the Center and community.

USPI Peak Gastroenterology Center,is seeking a motivatedGI Tech FT to join our team. Peak Gastroenterology CenterCenter is a fast-paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience forpatients and their families.

NO call, weekends, or holidays!!

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists in the care, maintenance, preparation, and cleaning of equipment per manufacturer’s guidelines.
• Perform equipment safety checks to ensure equipment is functioning properly, per manufacturer’s guidelines.
• Provides assistance to nurses and physician during procedure per the nurses’ direction, including but not limited to collecting specimens.
• Maintains stocked rooms and recognizes the need for reordering supplies. Assists purchaser with reordering needed supplies.
• Transports and transfers patients and equipment using recommended body mechanics.
• Maintains files and documents in an organized system as needed.
• Responds to patients and their families promptly using demonstrated effective customer service skills.
• Seeks involvement in activities that promote professional growth and behavior.
• Follows OSHA and other standards for protection against blood borne pathogens.
• Uses good body mechanics and aseptic technique.
• Assists in the placement of patient monitors per the nurses' directions (ie, BP cuffs, pulse oximeter, EKG leads, etc.)
• Mentors new technicians and recommends changes to orientation as necessary.
• Assists with the maintenance of the physical environment of the Center.
• Responsible for communication with equipment repair as appropriate.
• Communicates with Charge Nurse regarding workflow.
• Maintains professionalism within the Center and community.
• Informs Charge Nurse of applicable day-to-day situations.
• Follows employee health and other personnel and staffing policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

• One year experience as a GI tech preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• CNA preferred
