Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing ( BSN / equivalent).
• Registered Nurse in Illinois.
• Two or more years in clinical specialty.
• Magnet-recognized certification (orability to obtain within 1 year).
• CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates unit operations per policy/regulatory requirements.
• Coordinates unit staffing on a shift basis for quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Directs patient care provided by staff nurses for a shift.
• Leads initiatives and participates in committees and task forces.
• Communicates with patients and families about nursing care.
• Implements action plans to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Ensures environment is clean, safe, and compliant with regulations.
• Analyzes daily activity patterns and recommends improvements.
• Assesses staff development needs and orients new staff to the role.
