Job summary

PIH Health Hospital is seeking a G.I. Technician to prepare supplies and equipment for GI procedures and to assist the physician during procedures.

You will work as a team member to contribute to the overall efficiency of the GI Services department. The successful candidate will hold a current BCLS card and have knowledge of anatomy, physiology and GI practices, with proficiency in aseptic technique and in handling GI scopes and related instruments.

Qualifications

• Current BCLS card.
• Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology.
• Knowledge of GI practices and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and precautions.
• Knowledge of GI scopes, instruments, supplies, equipment and their use.

Responsibilities

• Preparing supplies and equipment for GI procedures.
