Job summary

PIH Health Whittier Hospital is seeking a G.I. Technician to prepare supplies and equipment for GI procedures and to assist physicians during GI procedures. You will work as part of the GI Services team to support efficient patient care.

The role requires current BCLS, knowledge of GI practices, anatomy, medical terminology, and aseptic technique. Day shifts with competitive hourly pay and opportunities for ongoing training are available at 12401 Washington Blvd, Whittier, CA 90602.

Qualifications

• Current BCLS card.
• Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology.
• Knowledge of GI practices and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and precautions.
• Knowledge of GI scopes, instruments, supplies, equipment and their use.

Responsibilities

• The G.I. Technician is responsible for preparing supplies and equipment for G.I. procedures, and assisting the physician during the G.I. procedures.
