Job summary

PIH Health Whittier Hospital is seeking a G.I. Technician to prepare supplies and equipment for GI procedures and assist the physician during procedures. This role supports the GI Services department through strong teamwork and a focus on efficiency.

Required: current BCLS, knowledge of anatomy and GI terminology, aseptic technique, and GI scope handling, with excellent organizational and communication skills. This position is based in Whittier, CA.

Qualifications

• Current BCLS card.
• Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology.
• Knowledge of G.I. practices and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and precautions.
• Knowledge of G.I. scopes, instruments, supplies, equipment and their use.

Responsibilities

The G.I. Technician is responsible for preparing supplies and equipment for G.I. procedures, and assisting the physician during the G.I. procedures. This position works as a team member to contribute to the overall efficiency of the G.I. Services department.
