Job summary

Quincy Medical Group is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to support GI and pre/post‑operative care. You will provide nursing care across procedural phases, prepare patients, assist with GI services, monitor recovery, and collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team to ensure safe, coordinated, and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois RN license required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• GI, pre-post operative, perioperative, or procedural nursing experience preferred.
• Strong nursing assessment, clinical judgment, and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess and prepare patients for surgical and gastrointestinal procedures, including reviewing histories, medications, allergies, and preoperative requirements.
• Provide nursing support during GI procedures according to protocols.
• Monitor patient condition, vital signs, and response to sedation or anesthesia.
• Provide post‑operative nursing care, including pain management and recovery assessments.
