Summary: The GI Technician is responsible for the technical support to physicians in the GI lab and related assistance to patients undergoing GI Lab procedures. Responsible to maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Responsible for setting up equipment and supplies for GI cases along with cleaning and high-level disinfection of endoscopes and accessories. Assist and inform physicians and nurses of relevant information. Demonstrate competency, efficiency, and leadership in performing basic endoscopic procedures and in applying new technology.

Job Description
High School or GED required.
Minimum 1 year customer service experience required, hospital or outpatient setting preferred.
Experience or training in GI Lab procedure room setting is preferred, but not required. Receives on the job training and competency verification to perform primary functions.
BLS required.
