Job summary

AdventHealth in Kansas is seeking a part-time Endoscopy Support role to monitor instruments and assist in procedures under the supervision of a nurse and physician. This position emphasizes patient support, room prep, and instrument handling in the endoscopy suite.

Requirements include High School graduation, BLS CPR, and 1+ related experience preferred; CNA is also preferred. Work is on-site with a daytime schedule and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational training preferred.
• BLS CPR certification required; CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors levels of all endoscopy instruments and supplies.
• Performs treatments and procedures within defined scope of practice.
• Provides supportive care to patients under direct supervision of RN and physician; ensures endoscopy suite readiness.
• Prepares room with supplies/equipment for each procedure; handles specimens correctly.
• Checks equipment prior to procedures and assists in positioning, prepping, and draping patients.

Job Description:

• Monitors levels of all endoscopy instruments and supplies.Follows written procedures for high-level disinfection and chemical and biological monitoring.
• Performs treatments and procedures within the defined scope of practice.
• Provides supportive care to patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse and physician. Ensures the endoscopy suite is adequately prepared for procedures.
• Prepares the room in a timely manner with all anticipated supplies and equipment for each endoscopy procedure. Demonstrates competence in the care and accurate handling of specimens.
• Checks all equipment and instruments needed prior to each procedure to ensure proper functioning. Assists in positioning, prepping, and draping patients for endoscopy procedures.
