Job summary

AdventHealth in Shawnee Mission, Kansas is seeking a full-time Day shift associate to welcome visitors, assist patients, and provide information to the healthcare team.

The role requires a high school diploma (preferred) and may require CPR certification; includes benefits from day one and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv [Preferred].

Responsibilities

• Welcomes visitors by greeting them in person or by telephone.
• Assists patients by responding to requests and obtaining needed services from nurses, physicians, and other team members.
• Provides information by answering inquiries, relaying calls, providing directions, and referring inquiries to nursing and physician staff.
• Listens attentively and provides information in a respectful manner to ensure understanding.
• Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing responsibilities as needed.
• Maintains department operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
• Monitors stock to determine inventory levels, anticipates needed supplies, places and expedites supply orders, and verifies receipt of supplies.
• Keeps department equipment operational by following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures, notifying appropriate departments when repairs are needed.
• Operates office equipment such as computers, fax machines, phone systems, copy machines, scanners, and label printers with skill and efficiency.
• Communicates clearly and effectively to customers and members of the healthcare team.
• Other duties as assigned.
