Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the GI Lab at Northwest Medical Center provides patient-centered care through the nursing process, coordinating and delivering high-quality care per physician orders. The role supports endoscopic procedures, pre/post‑op areas, and patient education while maintaining infection control and safety standards.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, medication administration, and collaboration with physicians and the care team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing with state requirements.
• BCLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Experience in endoscopy or GI care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care in endoscopy settings per clinical protocols.
• Assist physicians during GI procedures and chart during care.
• Monitor vitals, administer meds, and document care in medical records.
• Collaborate with the team across PreOp, Recovery, and Endoscopy Lab.
