Job summary

UPMC Presbyterian is actively hiring a full-time Patient Care Technician to support the GI Lab. You will provide hands-on patient care, follow nursing directions, and help with essential daily activities.

Four 10-hour shifts per week, no weekends, with a clear career ladder from Nursing Assistant to Lead Patient Care Technician. Entry level hourly rate starts at $19.40, with growth based on qualifications and advancement.

Qualifications

• Experience as Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician preferred.
• Ability to follow established policies and procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork with nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Deliver routine patient care and support services.
• Assist with ADLs and activities of daily living.
• Take vital signs, perform simple dressings and EKGs.
• Report equipment malfunctions and communicate with the healthcare team.
• Maintain patient safety and professionalism at all times.
• Document patient information accurately.
