Job summary
HonorHealth Shea GI Team in Scottsdale, AZ invites board-certified/eligible GI hospitalists to join as an employed GI Hospitalist. The role focuses on general inpatient GI consults at one campus, supported by a GI Nurse Practitioner and hospitalist teams.
A 7-on/7-off schedule with night calls from home is offered, plus potential for extra shifts. Competitive base salary, comprehensive benefits, CME allowance, tail coverage, PSLF eligibility, and a housing allowance are part of the package.
Qualifications
- Board-certified/board-eligible General Gastroenterologists required.
- Inpatient GI hospitalist experience preferred.
- Experience with inpatient GI consults and hospital-based care.
Responsibilities
- Provide general GI inpatient consults at a single campus.
- Participate in a 7 on/7 off schedule with night call from home.
- Collaborate with GI Nurse Practitioners, fellows, and hospital teams.

Dedicated Consulting Inpatient Role - Focus exclusively on general GI inpatient consults at one campus, supported by an experienced GI Nurse Practitioner and GI Fellows (occasionally) and fabulous ICU and Hospitalist teams
Strong GI Physician Network - Join a team of 30 GI physicians and 30 APPs
Advanced GI Support - A separate Advanced GI Team is available for specialized cases.

The Arizona State University John Shufeldt School of Medicine and Medical Engineering is a new medical school focused on training physician-engineers through a combined MD and MS in Medical Engineering.
