Job summary

BJC HealthCare in Saint Louis, Missouri is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Med Surg to join the 6900 GI/GU Surgery unit. The role is part-time, night shifts, two 12-hour shifts per week, with a $7,500 sign-on bonus eligible and differential pay for nights and weekend nights.

The unit is a 38-bed surgical unit, affiliated with GI and GU surgeons and magnet-certified. Responsibilities include direct patient care, patient education, safety, and coordination of care within an ERAS-focused

Qualifications

• RN licensure required (RN)
• Experience in Med Surg preferred
• Nursing education background as listed in minimum/preferred requirements

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and their families on illness management and home care needs.
• Develops, implements, and documents plans of care with interprofessional team.
• Ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care.
• Supports safety, quality and regulatory compliance in nursing care.
