Job summary

Mercy Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the General Surgery 3W unit in St. Louis, MO. The role is on a general inpatient medical-surgical unit, not the OR, with a night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM and a full-time schedule of 36 hours per week.

Location is Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis. Sign-on bonuses up to $10,000 for experienced nurses or $5,000 for new graduates are offered, and applicants must hold MO RN licensure or a compact license, with BLS current or

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current MO RN license or compact license.
• BLS certification required or within 30 days of hire.
• Prev hospital experience preferred or required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for patient care.
• Evaluates effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.
