Job summary

Fort Myers Surgery Center, part of United Surgical Partners International, is seeking a GI / Endoscopy Technologist to join our fast-paced ambulatory center in Fort Myers, FL.

You will prep instruments, manage GI equipment, sterilize tools, and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff while following facility standards and aseptic techniques. Prior ambulatory center experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a surgical technician program or 2+ years of surgical tech experience.
• Ambulatory surgical center experience strongly preferred.
• Solid knowledge of surgical procedures and patient care.
• Aseptic technique demonstrated and practiced daily.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Ensure presence of instruments and supplies for gastroenterology procedures.
• Care and handling of GI equipment; set up clean field for procedures.
• Maintain a safe, organized work area and dispose of contaminated items properly.
• Disinfect and sterilize instruments; process re-usable equipment.
• Verify equipment is functional and assist staff as needed.
