Job summary

The Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking an Endoscopy Technician III for the GI Lab Outpatient area. You will support nurses and physicians, perform GI procedures, and ensure safe patient care with proper equipment and sterile fields.

Responsibilities include preparing rooms, assisting during procedures, processing scopes, and maintaining supplies, while upholding infection control standards and collaborating with the Wellstar team to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• SGNA GI Tech Specialist certification required.

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in general GI procedures including ERCP and/or EUS.
• Prepare and set up procedure rooms and sterile fields.
• Operate and troubleshoot GI equipment during procedures as directed by physicians.
• Maintain supplies and equipment, including endoscopes and accessories.
• Provide mentorship to newer staff and support a collaborative team environment.
