United Surgical Partners International (USPI) is seeking a GI Endoscopy Technician for the Tavares Surgery Center in Florida. This full-time role supports GI procedures by operating endoscopy equipment, maintaining sterilization, and ensuring a smooth procedure room workflow.
The technician cleans and disinfects endoscopes, assists with patient flow and room turnover, inventories supplies, and adheres to infection control policies.
The GI technician/Endoscopy functions under the direct supervision of a surgeon to assist with the operation of technical equipment used during simple and complex endoscopic procedures. The physician, registered nurse and the GI technician work as a team in the procedure room to provide the optimal conditions in achieving positive patient outcomes. The GI technician is also responsible for cleaning, disinfecting and maintaining endoscopes and other instrumentation. Other GI technician responsibilities include facilitating patient flow, room turnover. Stocking procedure rooms, ordering supplies and performing a variety of clerical duties.
