Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Rowlett, TX seeks a Gastroenterology Technician 2 to perform examinations and procedures under clinical oversight. You will guide fellow technicians, oversee cleaning and sterilization of GI equipment, and help maintain a safe healthcare environment.

The role requires at least a high school diploma, three years of experience, and a current BLS/CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• BLS or CPR certificate required or willingness to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist in procedures not requiring sedation and inform patients about the process.
• Collaborate with nurses and doctors during sedation procedures; monitor vitals and assist in emergencies.
• Oversee cleaning and sterilizing GI equipment; ensure quality control.
• Assist in recovery room by monitoring patient data and preparing specimen slides.
• Document data during patient admission and discharge in the GI Lab; liaise with vendors for supplies.
