Job summary

Fort Myers Surgery Center is seeking a motivated GI/Endoscopy Technologist to join our ambulatory surgery center team in Boise. The role focuses on instrument setup, GI equipment care, disinfection, and maintaining a safe patient environment during gastroenterology procedures.

The position requires a surgical technician background, strong aseptic techniques, and excellent teamwork and communication with staff, physicians, and patients. Ambulatory center experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of a surgical technician program or two years of surgical technician experience.
• Ambulatory surgical center experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Ability to adapt to changing patient conditions.
• Excellent team player with good communication with staff, patients and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all instruments, equipment, and supplies are ready for GI procedures.
• Set up clean field for gastroenterology procedures.
• Care for and handle GI equipment.
• Disinfect endoscopes per manufacturers' recommendations.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Prepare and clean GI procedure areas and instrument processing accordingly.
• Disassemble, disinfect, and sterilize instruments as needed.
• Ensure equipment is functional and ready for use.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
