Job summary

Mercy is seeking an Endoscopy Technologist I to provide professional accountability and technical support in delivering care for endoscopy patients. You will assist with procedure preparation, equipment setup, and maintaining patient safety standards while supporting the physician and registered nurse.

The role operates in a GI/Pulmonology procedural area with a mix of outpatient and hospital settings. It requires 0–1 year experience, a high school diploma, and BLS certification, with shifts on

Qualifications

• 0-1 year of experience in outpatient centers or similar setting.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
• Endoscopy Technologist I can participate in lower acuity cases or high-level disinfection and must complete one basic competency (scope room or procedure competency).
• English language proficiency, both written and spoken, is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with procedure preparation, equipment setup, and patient safety in endoscopy.
• Support physician and registered nurse during procedures.
• Participate in direct and indirect patient care, including complex procedures as per the ladder program.
