Richmond Gastroenterology Associates Inc. is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our ambulatory surgical center team.

The RN will provide pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care for GI endoscopy procedures, collaborating with physicians, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff. The ideal candidate holds a Virginia RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications and has experience in gastroenterology or endoscopy settings.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Registered Nurse license is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Gastroenterology, Endoscopy, PACU, OR or ambulatory surgical setting experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong IV skills and comfort with moderate sedation is required.
• Excellent patient communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in Pre-Op, PACU, and Procedure Room settings.
• Assist physicians with endoscopic procedures and sedation monitoring.
• Perform patient assessments and review medications.
• Administer medications safely and monitor perioperative patients.
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and families on procedures and post-procedure care.
• Document accurately in line with facility policy.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to maintain workflow and patient experience.
