Job summary

Truman Medical Centers is seeking a Registered Nurse to assist in GI procedures, including pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care, and to participate in endoscopies and related GI interventions.

The role requires critical care experience, the ability to perform under pressure, and on-call after hours, weekends, and holidays. You will set up equipment, record patient data, deliver therapy, and help maintain sterile procedure environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or ADN is required.
• Current state RN license (Missouri) is required.
• Current BCLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum 2 years of critical care or related experience (ICU/CCU/GI/PACU/ED).
• Ability to perform independently in critical situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in GI procedures including pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care.
• Assist in endoscopic procedures and other GI procedures (liver biopsies, anorectal and esophageal manometry, 24 hour pH, pill cam, paracentesis).
• Provide moderate sedation if needed.
• Set up equipment, obtain and record patient data, monitor patient during procedures, and deliver therapy.
• Be part of the after-hours on-call team for emergencies, including weekends and holidays.
