Job summary
Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach is seeking an experienced GI nurse to support endoscopic procedures and patient care in a high-volume setting. You will teach patients and families, monitor sedation, and document assessments and plans of care with a focus on safety and comfort.

Qualifications
- Current Florida nursing license and active certifications (BLS, ACLS).
- BSN from an accredited school preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty area.
Responsibilities
- Teach patients and families about endoscopic procedures and prepare the endoscopy room.
- Monitor cardiopulmonary status during moderate sedation and report abnormalities to the physician.
- Perform accurate nursing assessments, plan of care, and documentation.
- Administer IV therapy, medications, and monitor patient responses.
- Ensure hygiene, pre/post operative care, and strict safety precautions.
- Coordinate transfers to GI station and complete transfer paperwork.
