Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse for GI Endoscopy Interventional Procedures in a full-time, days position. You will care for patients in the pre-operative area and during endoscopy, collaborating with GI physicians, anesthesiologists, and technicians to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role involves supporting ERCP/EUS/POEM procedures and advancing knowledge in GI care, with opportunities for professional growth within NMH’s Digestive Health Center.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN accredited school/college of nursing.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or higher.
• Current State of Illinois RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR through American Heart Association.
• Analytic ability (conceptual and quantitative).
• Oral, listening and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the pre-operative area and during endoscopy procedures.
• Collaborate with GI physicians, anesthesiologists and GI procedure technicians to ensure optimal patient care.
• Support a variety of GI procedures (ERCP, EUS, POEM) and related patient populations.
• Develop knowledge of GI procedures, devices, supplies and research.
• Participate in professional growth opportunities and unit goals.
