Job summary

Digestive Health Center in Iowa seeks a dependable CMA to join our gastroenterology team. The role involves patient care, rooming patients, documenting in the EMR, and coordinating tests, procedures and referrals. You will work with physicians, APs, nurses and other staff in a full-time, Monday–Friday clinic. Experience in gastroenterology is a plus; HIPAA compliance and strong organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• CMA certification or pursuing CMA preferred.
• Gastroenterology experience is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinic.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, compassionate care to gastroenterology patients.
• Room patients and update medical information.
• Assist providers and other team members within scope of practice.
• Coordinate patient care, testing, procedures and referrals.
• Provide accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
• Assist with patient calls, messages and follow-up.
