United Surgical Partners International Inc (USPI) in Port Charlotte, FL, seeks an experienced Endoscopy Supervisor RN to lead daily operations and ensure efficient, high-quality patient care within the Endoscopy suite.

The role requires clinical expertise in endoscopy, staff coaching, scheduling, and policy compliance, with strong collaboration with physicians and vendors to maintain equipment and supplies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Current Florida RN License is required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum of 3 years of Endoscopy experience.
• Ability to make independent clinical decisions.
• Strong prioritization and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication with staff, physicians, patients, families, and vendors.
• Knowledge of Endoscopy policies and procedures.
• Clinically proficient in Endoscopy nursing skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Endoscopy staff to maintain smooth daily case flow.
• Coordinates daily case scheduling with other staff.
• Communicates with physicians to resolve issues and improve efficiency.
• Coordinates staff education and in-services.
• Prepares schedules for the next day in the afternoon.
• Oversees case completions and prepares for following day.
• Addresses equipment or instrument issues with physicians and repairs.
• Collaborates with Materials and Sterile Processing to coordinate supplies.
• Assists with policy revisions related to Endoscopy functions.
• Supports AAAHC compliance activities.
• Provides staff counseling as needed.
• Coordinates and participates in Performance Improvement Projects.

Job description

Position Responsibilities:

• Supervises the Endoscopy staff to provide a daily smooth flow of cases.


• Assists in coordination of daily case scheduling in the Endoscopy Suite with other staff to ensure schedule will flow smoothly.


• Communicate effectively with physicians to resolve issues and provide efficiency and smooth case flow.


• Assists with education by coordinating and/or giving in-services.


• Prepare schedules in the afternoon for next day.


• Supervise for case completions of the day and setting up for the next day.


• Communicate with physicians to resolve equipment or instrument issues by coordinating ordering or getting repairs done.


• Works closely with Materials and Sterile Processing Dept to coordinate supplies & instrument needs.


• Preparing and administering annual evaluations


• Works closely with manager with hiring and orienting staff members


• Helps in revising and preparing policies that relate to Endoscopy functions


• Assistance in maintaining compliance for AAAHC surveys


• Assistance with staff counseling as necessary


• Coordinates and assists in Performance Improvement Projects.

Required Skills

• - Graduate of accredited school or professional nursing.


• - Baccalaureate degree preferred or work related experience.


• - Three (3) years experience in Endoscopy


• - Current Florida RN License


• - BLS, ACLS and PALS required
