Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Surgical Technician (GI CST) at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital. The role supports daytime, 40-hour weeks with no weekends or nights, assisting in endoscopic procedures and maintaining sterile technique. Onsite at 1133 Centre Street, Jamaica Plain, MA, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Surgical Technician Certification required- ARC/STSA/NBSTSA.
• Experience in OR or Ambulatory Surgery setting preferred.
• Adhere to ICARE standards.
• Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and equipment.
• Knowledge of septic and aseptic technique.
• Knowledge of care and safe handling of endoscopes.
• Sensitivity to patient/family rights and beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Will provide assistance in the OR during GI/endoscopic procedures.

Job Summary

Schedule:
Full-time 40hrs
Day Shift,
Monday-Friday- NO WEEKENDS, NO NIGHTS, NO CALL
Shifts: 7am-5:30pm or 8am-6:30pm

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Surgical Technician Certification required- ARC/STSA – Accredited Surgical Technology Program - NBSTSA – Certification is conferred by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting

• Current experience in OR or Ambulatory Surgery setting is required

• Ability to adhere to all I.C.A.R.E. standards

• Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and equipment

• Knowledge of septic and aseptic technique and be conscious of both at all times

• Knowledge of care and safe handling of endoscopes

• Demonstrate awareness of/sensitivity to patient/family rights and cultural/religious beliefs and age-specific needs
