Job summary

Oshi Health seeks a GI Expert Nurse Practitioner to deliver virtual-first gastrointestinal care to adults with complex digestive conditions. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated, whole-person care while adhering to Rome IV criteria and established clinical guidelines.

You’ll dedicate about 30 hours weekly to direct patient care with flexible hours, and participate in ongoing professional development and program improvements.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as CRNP or APRN with a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing
• Current certification by ANCC, AANP, or other qualifying agency as an Adult or Family NP
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in gastroenterology outpatient setting
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary care providers including physicians, psychologists, and registered dietitians

Responsibilities

• Deliver virtual patient care for GI conditions via video visits and chat messaging
• Collaborate with GI physicians, dietitians, behavioral health specialists, and care coordinators to implement care plans
• Follow Rome IV criteria and AGA/ACG guidelines to ensure evidence-based care
• Document patient interactions accurately in the EHR
• Allocate ~30 hours/week to direct patient care and ~10 hours to documentation and meetings
• Schedule includes early morning, evening, and weekend hours to meet patient access needs
• Participate in quality improvement, clinical program development, and professional training
• Pursue cross-licensure opportunities and maintain active licenses

Role Overview

As a GI Expert Nurse Practitioner at Oshi Health, you'll deliver high-quality, virtual-first gastrointestinal care to adults with complex digestive conditions through our telemedicine platform. You'll work alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary team with dietitians, and behavioral health specialists to provide coordinated, whole-person care that helps patients achieve lasting digestive health improvements. This role is at the heart of our mission — and your clinical expertise will directly change lives.

What You’ll Do — Key Responsibilities

• Deliver virtual patient care in alignment with Oshi's evidence-based care model, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for GI conditions with a focus on DGBIs, GERD, and IBD via video visits and chat messaging
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (GI physicians, dietitians, behavioral health specialists, and care coordinators) to implement coordinated, comprehensive care plans
• Adhere to clinical protocols including ROME IV criteria and AGA and ACG guidelines to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care delivery
• Document patient interactions accurately and timely within the EHR, maintaining thorough and compliant records
• Allocate approximately 30 hours per week to direct patient care and 10 hours to documentation, meetings, and administrative responsibilities
• This is not a traditional 9-5 role — scheduling includes a mix of early morning, evening, and weekend hours to meet patient access needs. Flexibility and willingness to work outside standard business hours is essential
• Participate in quality improvement, clinical program development, and professional training to stay current in the field of gastrointestinal care
• Pursue cross-licensure opportunities and maintain good standing with all relevant licenses and certifications

What We're Looking For — Qualifications & Requirements

Required

• Current licensure as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing
• Current certification by ANCC, AANP, or other qualifying agency as an Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in gastroenterology specialty in an outpatient setting
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary care providers including physicians, psychologists, and registered dietitians

Preferred

• Licensure in 2 additional states desired — candidates must be willing and able to obtain within 60 days of hire
• Experience with or willingness to learn common administrative and clinical technologies (Zoom, Google Suite, Salesforce, Athena, or equivalent)
• Prior experience with telehealth platforms
• Comfort operating in an entrepreneurial or start-up environment with evolving workflows and ambiguity
• Salary Range:Competitive, commensurate with experience, with annual bonus eligibility

Compensation Range

$125,000 - $125,000 USD
