Job summary

SCS Global Services is seeking a Verification Scientist I, GHG Forestry to join our team. You will conduct assessments under forestry and land-use standards, perform document review, quantify forest growth, run GIS analyses, and write verification reports for offset projects worldwide.

You will coordinate with clients, oversee contractors, and help maintain ISO quality standards. This home-office based role may require travel domestically. Salary range: $60,000–$88,000.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Forestry or a related scientific field.
• 2+ years of professional experience in a related field.
• Experience with standard forest inventory techniques and field measurements.

Responsibilities

• Audit management: assess project documentation and perform quantitative analyses.
• Site visits: conduct field reconnaissance and interview project personnel.
• Write verification findings and reports with clear calculations and interpretation.
• Coordinate audits with clients and manage a portfolio of audits.
• Support training of staff and contract auditors/consultants.
