Job summary

Griffin Greenhouse Supplies in Seattle seeks a Green Goods Sales Representative to build relationships with existing clients and pursue new business in horticulture products. You will showcase plants, seeds, and gardening supplies while delivering expert advice to customers.

The role involves regular travel within your territory, credit and delivery coordination, and providing outstanding service throughout the sales process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; HS diploma required.
• Sales experience in horticulture or agricultural industry desirable.
• Familiarity with retail and wholesale distribution is a plus.

What You’ll Do:

• Build lasting relationships with existing clients while seeking out new business opportunities.
• Showcase our diverse range of products—plants, seeds, and horticultural supplies—and provide expert advice to help customers make informed decisions.
• Travel throughout your territory to meet customers, attend trade shows, and network within the industry.
• Accurately estimate delivery dates, resolve payment issues, and provide excellent customer service throughout the sales process.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Business, or a related field is preferred. A high school diploma is required.
• Previous sales experience in the horticultural or agricultural industry is highly desirable. Familiarity with retail and wholesale distribution is a plus.

Skills:

• Knowledge of horticultural products, including plants and gardening supplies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building customer relationships
• Ability to travel regularly within your designated territory
• Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with computer systems (Onliant or similar systems is a plus)

The salary for this role will be determined based on various factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The salary range for this position is between $55,000 and $65,000 plus commission and may be adjusted in the future. In addition, this position is eligible for comprehensive benefits, including health, disability, life, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
