Thompson Gray, Inc. is seeking a GFEBS Financial Analyst to manage federal budgeting and accounting functions onsite at Redstone Arsenal, AL.

The role focuses on GFEBS-based processing, compliance with DoD regulations, and producing timely financial reports and briefs for stakeholders. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of federal budgeting/finance experience, strong DoD regulation knowledge, and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Competenze

• U.S. Citizen (required for federal contracting work).
• Minimum of 2+ years of proven experience in federal budgeting, finance, or accounting roles.
• Extensive, hands-on experience with GFEBS is mandatory; candidates must have routinely used the system for budget execution, obligation tracking, reconciliations, and reporting in a federal financial management environment.

Mansioni

• Oversee all aspects of financial management from receipt of funds through liquidation of obligations (e.g., GFEBS, MIPRs, 7600A, AMC 1095s).
• Provide comprehensive support for budget formulation and execution in accordance with federal financial management regulations and DoD policies.
• Utilize GFEBS to input, track, reconcile, and report on financial data, ensuring data integrity and compliance with DoD standards.
• Monitor the status of funds, track open commitments and ULO, and ensure proper use of appropriated funding.
• Coordinate with division leadership, program managers, CORs, contracting officers, and other stakeholders to align budget execution with objectives.
• Assist in preparation of budget justifications, spend plans, unfunded requirement submissions, and obligation/expenditure reports.
• Assist in preparation of financial reports and briefings to internal and external stakeholders.
• Support audits, reviews, and financial reconciliations in GFEBS, contributing to year-end closeout and resolution of discrepancies.
• Provide input on current and proposed financial systems or automation tools to enhance processing of funding documents.
