American Express Global Business Travel is seeking a Specialized Travel Consultant to provide high-touch travel arrangements for corporate clients from a home-based setup. You’ll coordinate domestic and international trips while upholding company travel policies and service standards.

The role requires native Amadeus GDS expertise, fluent German and English, and a client-focused mindset. You’ll collaborate with teams to meet KPIs, resolve issues promptly, and deliver an exceptional travel

Our Specialized Travel Consultants work in a high-touch service environment to book travel and accommodation for some of our top clients at Amex GBT. Working from the comfort of your own home, you’ll collaborate with your team to provide creative and timely travel solutions and an outstanding travel service experience. What You’ll Do

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate business customers (both individuals and groups)
• Arrange and book domestic and international business travel, in a variety of complexity, for air, road, rail, and accommodations
• Use various Global Distribution Systems (GDSs), including Sabre, Apollo, Amadeus, and/or Galileo. Training may be provided
• Communicate effectively with customers over the telephone, messaging (chat), e-mail, and/or back office systems
• Act as a trusted advisor by using travel expertise to proactively provide advice and selling additional services to clients to meet their needs while adhering to their company’s travel policy
• Work individually and as a team to meet business and account-specific goals, which may include customer satisfaction, call adherence and service metrics
• Champion the conversion of dissatisfied customers into loyal promoters through exceptional service recovery both over phone and email, building genuine trust through empathetic, transparent communication
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring consistent, professional, and relationship-focused engagement throughout the resolution process
• Set realistic customer expectations from the outset, and communicate resolutions with quality and clarity — particularly when outcomes differ from customer hopes
• Explain complex situations and deliver challenging news in ways that leave customers satisfied, respected, and confident in the business

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in travel (preferably business travel) and understanding of fares and ticketing rules for car, air, and hotel
• Passion for excellence in client service, including proactive anticipation of needs
• Native GDS expertise (Amadeus)
• Fluent written and spoken German and excellent level of English (required)
• Attention to detail
• Act with integrity, and look after personal traveler information
• Possess a strong understanding of the travel industry (background in business travel, leisure travel, or airline reservation)
• Resolving customer issues quickly and independently
• Teamwork and openness to feedback

This role caters to European market shift starting either from 11:30 AM - 8:30 PM / 12:30 PM - 9:30 PM basis daylight saving. This role may require flexibility.
