American Express Global Business Travel is seeking a Travel Consultant to join our highly skilled remote team serving corporate clients across the US. You will advise and arrange travel, research options, and ensure policy compliance for domestic and international trips.

Ideal candidate has 3+ years as a travel consultant, strong communication, and a keen attention to detail. Evening/weekend shifts may be required. Base salary in the US ranges by experience and location.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in native GDS (Sabre).
• 3+ years of experience as travel consultant.
• Professional communication in written and spoken form.
• Strong understanding of the travel industry and client needs.

Responsabilités

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate customers (individuals and groups).
• Research options and proactively anticipate traveler needs to upsell services.
• Arrange and book domestic and international business travel (air, rail, hotel).
• Utilize Sabre GDS to complete bookings.
• Ensure compliance with travel policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide positive telephone service and handle special requests.
• Collaborate within the team to coach and mentor peers.

What You’ll Do

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate business customers (both individuals and groups)
• Conduct analysis and research on travel options, and pro-actively anticipate traveler needs to sell additional services
• Arrange and book domestic and international business travel, in a variety of complexity, for air, road, rail, and accommodations
• Global Distribution Systems Sabre usage
• Ensure compliance to customers’ agreed travel policy, service provider policies, and regulatory requirements
• Use positive telephone service techniques and act on special customer requests
• Collaborate within your team to coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to improve service levels

What We’re Looking For

• Passion for excellence in client service, including proactive anticipation of needs
• Proficiency in Native GDS (Sabre)
• 3+ Years of experience on as Travel consultant
• Professional communication (written and verbal)
• Attention to detail
• Act with integrity, and look after personal traveler information
• Possess a strong understanding of the travel industry (background in business travel, leisure travel, or airline reservation)
• Resolving customer issues quickly and independently / with supplier
• Teamwork and openness to feedback
• Evening, overnights, weekend shifts.

The US national base salary range for this position is from $39,200.00 - $72,800.00 The national range provided includes the base salary that Amex GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
