Job summary

University of North Texas System in Fort Worth is seeking a compassionate LVN to join the Center for Older Adults within the HSC-Health Systems division. The LVN will support nursing care, assist in geriatrics evaluations, and collaborate with clinicians in a fast-paced clinic.

The role requires an active Texas LVN license, CPR (BLS), and strong communication skills. Schedule is Monday–Friday with 8am–5pm hours in a clinical setting at UNT Health Fort Worth.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Texas LVN license and CPR (BLS) certification required.
• Experience with geriatric populations and telephone triage preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measure and record patients' vital signs and administer medications as ordered.
• Return patient calls and perform telephone triage per protocols.
• Gauges overall health status and guides medical assistants in clinical settings.
• Obtain insurance authorizations for referrals, procedures, and medications; process forms as needed.
• Follow department policies on patient safety, confidentiality, and regulatory standards.
